First Congregational UCC

My fiance and I paid money down and signed a paper to have our wedding at this church and with only 4 months and a day to go to our wedding the secretary from this church that we made the wedding plans with, (Karen) called and told us that we can't get married there since they had mistakenly booked two weddings that day! After we had made and paid for other wedding plans for that day we were stuck with no church to get married in and the secretary wasn't even nice about it. We were treated very poorly by the secretary and she acted to us like it was OUR fault. They would not even try to have both weddings at different times the same day either. We were left extremely upset and without a church to get married in with only 4 months before our wedding date! (Karen even argued with me that it was 5 months to our date standing there in the hallway counting on her fingers, but it was only 4. -January 13th until May 14th) It would have been up-setting from any business to do such a thing but from a church and concerning our wedding was terribly up-setting. The pastor did call to talk about it but still wouldn't try to have both weddings there.
