Luxe Salon and Desing

I have a friend that I decided to go in and have my haircut by her, know her for years. I am so in love with the cut, her professionalism and thoughtfulness was amazing. I am definitely gonna have my haircut by her again, BUT, the receptionist was anything but welcoming and this is the first person you see when you walk in. If I didn;t have my friend cutting my hair I would've complained and walked out immediately. First, I was standing by the front desk for about 5-8min w/ no eye contact as she was talking nonsense to someone. Second, she didn't offer me a drink. Third, I finally had to inform her of who I was there for and she gave me a dirty look as she walked away. Last, she didn;t say good bye as I was leaving. The more I think about it I am getting more upset about her unprofessionalism because when you can affors to go to a salon, you expect to be treated w/ wonderful customer service period!!! I worked as a salon receptionist many years ago, so I am very familiar with the routine. I will be amking a call to the Luxe Salon owner very soon to complain.

Honestly, I can't relate to the negative reviews I've read here. I read all the reviews, and saw that most of them were really positive - the only negative reviews are REALLY negative, which made me suspect that there was an ulterior motive there so I blew them off. Turns out I was right – this is the best salon I've ever been to.



I made an appointment with Darlene & could NOT have been happier. The atmosphere/decor is fantastic the staff is attentive and professional. Darlene gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever had. They've got me for life. I would recommend Luxe to anyone looking for a really great experience! A+++

I agree with vindatown and 1beautycritic. This salon is not all that it should be. I would not even recommend this salon to someone that I hated. Having a bad hair experience is up there on my list of things that I hate. But bad hair and bad attitudes would make a double whammy. During my experience with this salon I too saw and heard the employees acting in an unfavorable manner. The plot runs thick in this salon. Stylists that should be hosting war games. So if your hair grows back in fast or you enjoy high school drama this would be the salon for you. If not, shy away from this one, there are many better salons out there.

I would have to agree with the first review posted on this salon. I wish that I had looked it up on yellowpages.com to read the reviews before I had my hair done there. I was refered by a friend who said that this new salon could use the business. I am so disappointed!!!! My hair had a green tint in the sunlight and was horribly worse under fluorescent lights and blacklights.



It looks to me that the first review is the most accurate. I have read all of the reviews and every review after the first seem either to be posted/coherced by the same person or written by the employees. Some of the reviews clearly show that the salon employees that posted them have the mentality of a high school or even a middle school child with the name calling and bitterness toward an opinion (ex: ears like an elephant; you were just hormonal that particular day). The reviews undoubtedly prove that this salon is dominated by soap opera drama. Any reputable adult/business that has any dignity (meaning: excellence, nobility) would attempt to improve the service of an establishment, not trash talk an opinionated experience.



An opinion of an experience is just that, an OPINION OF PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. The retaliation tactics shown of this salon through the reviews prove to me that the majority of the listings are not accurate at all and lean more toward complete trueness to the first review.



So weighing all of the pros and cons to this business; I would have to say; I would never recommend Luxe Style and Hair Design !!!!!!!!!!!!!!



Save your money for something that would be or is really worth the spending !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a repeat customer of Luxe and will continue to go back. I have never gotten a more welcoming reception and waited on hand and foot. I get constant compliments on my hair and have reccommended Luxe to many of my friends who are also totally thrilled with the whole "experience". Thanks for the FABULOUS hair Luxe!!

I am a repeat customer of Luxe and I'm crazy about the place. Nice greeting when you arrive for your appointment and they offer you a beverage, too. Great shampoo bar - soooo comfy and the Flat Screens are an extra 5 Star touch, too. I love the products they use. Kerastace smells and feels sooo great. Ask for David if you want an out of this world shampoo with a head and neck massage. He powers the water up to HIGH - I like it on cold ! Great place.

Hey lets just cut tot he chase here... never mind your eaves dropping into other's conversations. Must say though, you have got to have ears like an elephant. The sound system they have installed is seriously the best, makes individual conversations private - get it - PRIVATE. I just want to hear a hair review... Maybe you were just hormonal that particular day.

it was my first time at luxe just a couple weeks ago. i am SO happy! it is so fashionable and it is a beautiful evniornment!! definatelly going back, my hair is the best its ever looked!

I have been to Luxe a few times and personally my sytlist is void of any drama! She does her job both well and professionally. I like the decor and the salon is always clean. The receptionist has always been pleasant when I come in and asks if I would like something to drink. I would recommend the salon to others.

This salon is full of snobs and batches!!!! What a soap opera scene! Drama inside the salon is not a good thing….Talking about drama in the salon might be acceptable….But wow I am appalled!!!!! Upscale salon….um NO! Save yourself the anguish and do not visit this salon. After my visit, I am now wondering if the employees are a collection of beauty school drop outs reunited because one of them stumbled upon some cash.



Ambiance of this salon needs an extreme enhancement. It is not all about what is on the walls, floors or high priced equipment. Ambiance is an atmosphere in whole. The service, employees and procedures are not up to par. The performance scale is unbearably dreadful! The employees are unpleasant, unkind and just plain nasty. On top of everything else, the owner is a joke!



Save yourself the REPUGNANT experience…choose another salon!!!!!!!!!
