1862 David Walley's Restaurant and Saloon

This is my favorite restaurant. I love the resort feel in Genoa, the views, and the western feel if this place. 1862 always has fantastic food. My fiancé proposed to me under the arbor. Was magical!

I stayed a week at the resort and I saw a huge improvement overall. The great thing is the restaurant is open! They are now serving breakfast, which is great. They also have lunch and of course dinner. The new owners have remodeled it and made some much needed and great changes. The interior is very nice. Throughout my stay I eventually tried the breakfast, lunch & dinner. Had the lunch, great and everything was fresh. I enjoyed a couple dinners there and the Buffalo steak was wonderful. The staff was very professional and attentive to our table, earned their tip. I would definitely recommend this place. It is convenient, and has great food.

The other reviewers don't seem to know this is the reviews for the 1862 Restaurant, NOT the spa or the hotsprings....read people!!! Thise reviews belong on a different thread! Maybe YP will fix it!

On to the restaurant, its the remodeled DW's restaurant, as taken over by the new owners. One od the big improvements is that , they now serve BREAKFAST. I always wanted a breakfast place out this was, cause Genoa has basically nothing for morning food. I stopped in for lunch and had a ceasar salad with chicken and my BF had a burger. The food was very nice and not too expensive. All was in the $8-11 range for lunch. Dinner is quite a bit more expensive 20 -30 range. The food was done well and served professionally. I really love the views for here of the valley. Overall I liked it and will return.
