Dr. Rakesh K. Goyal is a leading ketamine specialist in Long Island with over 15 years of experience in internal medicine and mental health illnesses. He has performed numerous ketamine infusions with high success in his patients who have lost hope and struggled from severe recurrent major depression, suicidal ideations, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, migraine headaches and chronic pain syndrome. He has spent majority of his career working in acute care setting at a well-recognized tertiary care hospital in Virginia. Dr. Goyal has enjoyed working with multidisciplinary specialties including but not limited to psychiatry, palliative care, cardiology, general medicine and surgery. After graduating with honors, Dr. Goyal completed his residency in 2007 from Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan with excellence in clinical research during his residency. As a hospitalist working in an acute care setting, he values the importance of high quality patient care. He has tremendous exposure to ketamine administration co-managing patients in the ICU, CCU as well as patients with acute suicidal ideations, severe refractory depression and chronic pain syndrome. Currently he is affiliated with Northwell Health. He is also serving as an assistant professor of medicine in Hofstra University. During his leisure time Dr. Goyal enjoys spending time with his wife and children traveling and sight seeing. Dr. Goyal holds active medical license within the state of New York. He is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM).
