New patients, please contact our office to schedule an initial doctor's visit. For follow-up visits and non-emergencies, it is best to schedule your appointment several days in advance. To cancel appointments, please let us know 24 hours prior to get you rescheduled promptly and so that we can give that time to another patient. There is a $35 no-show fee for all missed appointments. For Rheumatology patients who miss their initial 45-minute appointment or patients having an EMG/NCS, the no-show fee is $100.

Primary Care
If you are part of an HMO or another health plan that requires a referral, you will be asked for a referral slip from your primary care physician. This must be presented at the time of your appointment. Without it, we will not be able to see you. For those with Medicare, we accept assignment. This means, we accept what Medicare pays less your 20% co-pay. For those with Medicaid, the law requires you present your authorization slip, which is renewed monthly. Without it, we will have to reschedule your appointment. We want you to live the lifestyle you want, and look for the best solutions for your situation. Your choices will be explained in detail, leaving you with enough information to make an informed decision about your orthopedic health.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
EMG results can reveal nerve dysfunction, muscle dysfunction or problems with nerve-to-muscle signal transmission. Carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, peripheral neuropathy, cervical and lumbar radiculopathies are among the many disorders that can be diagnosed with EMG/NCS.

Ultrasound
We also utilize diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound. Imaging joints and soft tissue enables us to detect subtle changes in bones, tissues, and tendons that x-rays often cannot detect.
MRI
We are a one-stop shop! That means our orthopaedic urgent care physicians and PAs can easily coordinate with all of the services offered at MMI, including physical therapy, hand therapy, pain specialists, bracing/casting, imaging (MRI, CT, x-ray) and orthopedic surgery. It’s also possible to be seen by any of these services on the same day. This saves you time and gets you on the road to recovery after an acute injury as fast as possible.

Bunions Problems
Some common causes of foot and ankle pain are bunions, flatfoot deformity, ligament sprains, and neuroma. A bunion is an expansion of tissue and bone on the joint of the big toe. As the bunion size increases, the joint of the big toe will appear to stick out, while the whole toe turns inward. A change in toe direction causes a shift in the distribution of weight placed on the foot during walking, which can result in both acute and chronic pain. Women are more likely to develop bunions because of the increased amount of pressure caused by wearing high-heeled or pointed shoes.
