The Forney Police Department works to provide law enforcement services, deter criminal activities, maintain law and order, and protect lives and property. It operates patrol and criminal investigation divisions. The department s support services unit is comprised of a records division and communication center. The Forney Police Department also maintains a specialized unit that handles accident investigations, hostage negotiations, and crime prevention and public education. It supports a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team that responds to hostage and sniper situations, barricaded suspects, personal protection and high-risk apprehension, as well as provides warrant services. The department also hosts victim assistance and crime and vacation watch programs. The Forney Police Department offers online crime reporting services. It is located in Forney, Texas.
