Luxe Thai Cuisine

We were on a vacation trip to Portland, Seattle and Vanouver. We love Thai food so we ate Thai at different Thai restaurants throughout the trip. We stopped at Luxe Thai on our way back from Vancouver.



The food taste was ok. The portion size was good for the price but the curry lacked flavour. Of all the thai places we ate in Portland, Seattle and Vancouver, we felt Luxe Thai placed last in terms of the taste.



However, service was the worst. Sue may treat you well if your skin is white, but if not, be prepared to be discriminated against in her restaurant!



Never in my life have I felt discriminated against in a restuarant until my experience at Luxe Thai, and that too by the owner - Sue. We went in for lunch, and she seemed hesistant to seat us. We ordered our lunch and were waiting for our order when we noticed that Sue would bring out a complimentary bowl of soup for all new customers that would come in. Though she skipped us on purpose as if trying to tell us that we were not welcome there!



Sue, let me give you a reality check! You are not white and are considered a person of color as well!!! Though I don't wish for anyone, I hope one day you get treated the same way as you treated us so you realize how it feels to be discriminated against!!! Shame on you Sue!



We met good natured and friendly people from Thailand at all Thai restaurants during this trip, except you. You give Thai people a bad name!

Amazing thai food. I've eaten lots of thai food. This is the best. I love that they don't use short grain brown rice, but a different variety. I don't live near hear so I don't eat there much, but if I lived closer I would eat there often!

Best thai food my husband and i have ever had! Very friendly atmosphere!
