Carvel

I purchased a birthday cake for my brother @ carvel 130 elmora ave in elizabeth nj via phone w/my debit card and was informed my my bank that i was in overdraft about 2wks later. it was because they had double charged me. I called and was told to call back tomorrow. I was upset and called the carvel corporation filed a complaint. I called back the next day spoke a manager (Erin) and was told that she'd contact the owner and get back to me. I patiently waited for her return call. she called me back let me know that she spoke w/the owner he's going to reverse the $ to my acct. and handle any fees until it is physically back in my acct. Surprised is was! any day after i called to let them know it was not there and they were very polite, respectful, considerate, and every nice thing u can say about great customer serv. They gave me a free cake and paid me for all fees. I felt bad about callling the corporation; however, i did call the corp and let them know that i was well taken care of by the elmora ave store and i will be a lifelong customer regardless of what happened.
