Hillside Gardens Apartments

Pros: Close to a Rapid Bus Stop, Safeway, very nice people that actually work on the property, get on problems right away, and close to I-80. Quiet, gated so pretty safe. Cute on the outside.



Cons: Everything else. You're going to put those nice people to work almost continuously, as I experienced frequent leaks, ant invasions, and constantly running toilet. Which, you know, ick. "Free" wi-fi (which you pay for in your overpriced rent) never ever worked either. This place also doesn't have a lot of money from tenants coming in, so when you move out, they're going to try to take everything they can from you vis a vis the security deposit. If you move out, take pictures of the way you left the place. Also, its not-so-ideally located next to a pretty dodgy porno place with a pay by the hour hotel right next door catered to that kind of thing. Lastly, the place is overpriced- you can find way, way better for cheaper basically anywhere else.



The neighbors are quiet, which is nice, and the people who work on the property are super super helpful, but the building itself is old and breaking down, and the managers aren't making enough money to make ends meet, so they'll gouge you on the rent, and then take out fully half of the security deposit. You don't need that, you deserve better!
