        Our practice deals primarily with adult endocrinology. Dr. Silver also deals with limited pediatric endocrinology. Endocrinology is the medical specialty concerned with treating the various diseases of the endocrine system, commonly referred to as the hormonal system. Dr. Mark Alan Silver is board-certified in both endocrinology and internal medicine, and specializes in diabetes and adult and pediatric endocrinology. A native of Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Silver received his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan. He attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and went on to complete a three-year residency in Internal Medicine at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. He continued with a two-year subspecialty training program in endocrinology and diabetes, also at George Washington University Hospital.         Worst Endocrinologist

        Don't see this Dr. for Thyoid problems!! The worst endocrinologist I've ever seen!! Had to have half mythyroid removed in 2000...saw Dr Silver in 1999 and hehad the worst "bedside" manner ever...didn't really listento me, said my symptoms could not be from my thyroid. Butguest what I eventually saw Dr. Robert Murray who listened,said my symptoms could very well be my thyroid. Dr. Murraydid an ultrasound and biopsy...found I had a nodule that wasgoing crazy...and I needed to have my left thyroid removed immeiately....ever since then I've been fine......DO NOT SEE DR. SILVER...HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING.
