East Northport Middle School offers a wide range of programs for students in grades six through eight. Located in Northport, N.Y., it provides classes in math, social studies, physical education, and family and consumer science. Its health education program includes subjects, such as nutrition, wellness and disease prevention. Additionally, it offers classes in stress management, drug education, conflict resolution, human reproduction, anatomy and physiology. Its library offers homework assistance, online referrals, study guides and puzzles. It has tennis, soccer, hockey, volleyball and basketball teams. The school has a counseling center that provides assistance to students in stress management and problem solving. Its parent center offers workshops on parenting tips and disease prevention. The school also has a newsletter and monthly magazine and several clubs, such as the art, computer, cooking and reading clubs.
