I had Bluewater install my geothermal system in my house last October. I live in the city and was told by another contractor I didn't have a big enough back yard to make it work. I am extremely happy I made the decision to buy a geo, my Minnesota Power bills are very low compared to the gas bills I was paying in years past. My house is at a consistent 70 degrees and alot more comfortable than with my gas furnace. The system has done everything Bluewater said it would do, and I just got a check from Minnesota Power for $800. I would highly recommend these guys to everybody looking at putting in a geothermal system.

My 5000 sq.ft. home was built in 2004, with lower energy utility consumption in mind. R-24 walls, R-60 ceiling, triple pane windows and doors, 95% efficient propane boiler for in floor heat. I was under the impression that my heating cost would be low. Not so. My annual propane cost range, $2700.00 – $3300.00. I talked to Bluewater Geothermal “and other geothermal companies” at last year’s Home Show at the DECC. I received quotes from 4 different sources.” Bluewater Geothermal was not the cheapest”. I chose Bluewater Geothermal for 2 reasons. 1. They install Waterfurnace. My research showed Waterfurnace to be the most efficient of all heat pump manufactures. 2. They showed me how there installation could be monitored to produce its top efficiency for years to come. And they also did it without digging up my yard. My Largest Minnesota Power bill was for January and it was only $180.00 of which $40.00 is Service charges, Resource Adjustments, Boswell 3 Plan Adjustments, and Transmission Adjustments. I will be surprised if I spend more than $1300.00 this year on heating. That is a 60% savings. And I get free domestic hot water as well. Bluewater Geothermal was on time and on budget.
