Best atmosphere ever. Very social. Employees are very nice. Excellent BBQ. There is a long wait but it is well worth it.

The best BBQ in my Lone Star State. All the others can pack up and head to New York.

Try it all but if you only get one meat---get the brisket. Staff is wonderful and the experience is one you won't forget. 100% completely crave-able!

Service was good & smelled amazing when we walked in. BBQ was not good, brisket was dry, cut too thin & no fat. The ribs were so small & the meat was not falling off the bone. BBQ sauce was runny. OVER PRICED.

A great place to take friends and family visiting Austin. The place is a great reflection of Austin - casual, friendly, live music, BYOB, and lots if meat. The brisket and sausage are fantastic. Ask for extra bread and pickles. And pour on the spicy BBQ sauce! Keep an eye out for the roaming peacocks and be prepared to relax and wait a bit to be seated on the weekends.

Though I wouldn't go that far out of my way to go here on my own, I definitely don't turn down an invitation to go. Their BBQ is pretty good, but honestly, my favorite is their selection of sides. I love their potato salad and cole slaw. It's really unique and made with sesame seeds (the cole slaw, that is). Also, their cobbler is killer good! My ex took me there to celebrate my new job and we had to share the cobbler.
I love the communal tables for large groups, but I'm not crazy about sharing the tables with other strangers who are chowing down on tons of meat. It's not quite the same like what you might experience at the more polite community table at the Upper Crust. ;)
I also don't like that they will take only cash and keep an ATM right next to the cash register. I just think that's tacky and a poor sense of customer service. I mean, how cheap can you be? And they're definitely not passing the credit card charge savings on to the customers.
