Overall

I wrote a review of this horrible doctor about 8 years ago. He operated on my only child when she was only 17 years old. She is now 29 years old and chronically ill from side effects of his botched surgery. She can never have kids because this so-called surgeon let his huge ego get in the way of being careful. He told us it would be an "easy surgery" - but after the surgery my daughter was in patient for SIX STRAIGHT MONTHS! I moved her from that hospital and away from him. The doctors where I moved her saw everything he did wrong, but said she was "too sick" for surgery so she had to lie in the hospital, hooked up to IV medicines for SIX LONG MONTHS because of his mistakes. Many things happened. Murray operated and on the 3rd day post op my daughter kept telling me she didn't feel good. I sat next to her bed while she slipped in and out of conscienceless while the nurses and doctor told me "She's okay, she just took too many pain meds." WHAT?? How can a patient take "too many pain meds" when its the nurses that dispense them! When they tried to get her out of bed, she had convulsions and they had to rush her to ICU and then into emergency surgery. Really? Nothing was wrong with her? Really? How wrong they were. My daughter had sepsis & peritonitis poisons raging through her young body and tried to tell them she was sick, but they refused to believe her. Then, about a week or 2 after the emergency surgery, she complained about a pain in her chest. Murray and the nurses kept telling me "it's just a muscle spasm." Really?? If she's taking too many pain meds, she wouldn't feel a muscle spasm. I'm not a doctor - but even I knew that she wouldn't feel a muscle spasm because she was on "too many pain meds." You can't have it both ways. I went home that night and at 3 in the morning I awoke to "Pulmonary Embolism" "Pulmonary Embolism" being repeated in my head over and over. I waited until 8AM and I called Murray & asked him to check her for blood clots. He said, "Oh, she's only 17, you don't have to worry about that." So, I told him, "You might think I'm crazy, but I awoke at 3AM hearing "Pulmonary Embolism" over and over again in my head." Murray said he'd check her for PE. Guess what - my dear daughter had a blood clot (P.E.) in her lung! And Murray said she didn't have one! I could go on and on and on about the horrific treatment my daughter received at the hands of Richard S, Murray and Doylestown Hospital. My daughter was only 17 when she went into the hospital. She was a good kid, played basketball and softball, was inducted into the National Honor Society at school, and was still a virgin. She did NOT do drugs - but because she was 17 Murray just assumed she wanted drugs! At one point I told him "If she wanted drugs, she could go to Philadelphia and buy drugs on any street corner. She certainly wouldn't willingly be in this hospital hooked up to IVs and being mistreated by you and the hospital. Any 17 year old that really wants drugs - can get them. My daughter didn't want drugs, she wanted to be out of pain - pain caused by Richard S. Murray's carelessness. Murray should NOT have license to operate in my opinion. Because of the sepsis & peritonitis poisons, my daughter now has horrendous scar tissue that has attacked her right tube and ovary. It also absorbed her left ovary completely - her OB/GYN can't find it. Her uterus is attached to her intestine with scar tissue and she has pools of fluid with many cysts through-out her abdomen and pelvis. My daughter can never have kids, is very sick all the time & never goes out because she's too sick - thanks to Richard S. Murray.
