AARP Tax preparers at the Westland Friendship Senior Center on Newburg rd. in Westland MI have changed this year.



Old people who have been getting taxes done there now have to stand out in the cold an hour before the doors are unlocked just to be put on a waiting list. One problem that I can see is that they now do taxes for people who are not even old enough to be an AARP member. Young people can handle waiting out in the cold between 8 & 9 A.M. to get on the list for the day.



Today I told them I am on depression & anxiety medication and I am too old to be standing in the cold. I said I am not in a rush to get taxes done. I just can’t keep coming down there after the doors open and can't even get an appointment for the next week or even in March 2015. That doesn't make sense.
