Roberts Communities - The Reserve at Oak Ranch

I have lived in Oak Ranch for 2 years now and would like to submit an honest review.
Make sure you know the many rules of the community BEFORE you buy. In my case, the salesperson either lied or was ill-informed. After buying my home, they made me sit with the property manager who went over the rules and I discovered the truth. There was so much she went over, it was mind-numbing. They do give you literature to take with you.
You receive a warranty; but, they are reluctant to correct the problems. For instance, my flooring in the dining area was bubbling in areas and dented in others. I was told my furniture was too heavy one time and they have never seen this happen before when I called again. They "repaired" it by cutting the vinyl and "ironing" it. It looked better at first, but now is MUCH MUCH worse. It's just me and my little dog living here, so I know we didn't do anything to cause this to happen.
They will tell you you should hire their guys if you need anything to be done, because they are experts on these homes. Don't believe them! Not the guy they sent me. He couldn't even install the ceiling fans without breaking the light shade on one-which he never replaced. I had to purchase one- and taking several hours on the other. I finally told him that an electrician installed the one in the living room so he should uninstall that one and see how it was done. He did and the work was finally completed. He also brought his father and teen-aged son with him!!! I was uncomfortable with all these strangers in my home. The son kept going in and out.
They were supposed to install a covered parking area when I moved in. It took them over a month to do it and it is now falling down because they hired some company from San Antonio to do the installation and they did a terrible job. Now I'm told its my problem! Even though it doesn't belong to me!.
I have much more to say but I am out of words... Be warned its not the worst but far from the best or even acceptable!

The worst place to live. I have no words to express how sad and uncomfortable I feel living here. Please don't buy a home here. They will make you feel like you are worthless.
