My son is on Medicaid and this place is as nice as ANY other orthodontic facility.



He has never had any problems with brackets falling off or shoddy workmanship.



The office staff is very helpful. The doctor is a bit quiet, but will answer any questions you may have.



As for a timeline, one can never speculate as teeth move in their own time and varies with everyone.



I have been very pleased with Gem City Dental.

The receptionist is the best thing about this place, she is always so nice and friendly. The doctor swoops in and out of the room so fast and never talks to me (parent) or the patient. There is never a timeline given as to when the braces will be taken off. As for the braces, there is shoddy workmanship. The brackets are constantly falling off, the cement will not stay adhered. My child is not perfect, but he is not eating anything from "the list" so it is not due to his negligence. The staff takes it upon themselves to fuss at my child over broken brackets and by the time we get to the elevator my child is in tears. we have other children who need braces and I can assure you we will not be taking them to Gem City Dental. Avoid this place at all costs.

My son had his first visit at Gem City Dental this morning and was told he needed a palate expander and braces. Despite the news (which we pretty much already knew) the visit was good. The waiting room is a little small, but everyone was friendly including the doctor. He talked to me about finances and how we could make sure my son got the best treatment needed if our insurance ended up denying him. So far 2 thumbs up! We will be going back in a month or so to start the process.
