I was really thirsty on my way to work so I stopped at the next convenience store I saw, and it happened to be this one. I went in, grabbed my drink, then saw on the register that it said "$X minimum for credit cards." So, I asked if that applied to debit card transactions too (I had no cash, so I had no other choice, but I didn't say that), and the man behind the counter said "no" so I handed him my card. Then as he was swiping it he said "it costs me $0.40 every time someone uses their card" so I, confused, said "sorry" - I didn't really know what to say or think since he had just said that the minimum didn't apply to my debit card. Then as I was turning away to walk out the door, he said, very clearly and easy to hear, "It's like I'm working for nothing."

I will never go back to this place. Not for anything. I would rather wait until I got to the Dunks down in Danvers on 62 to get a drink than ever pay for this man to talk to me like that. I've told all of my friends not to go there because the guy is very rude, and that I would be reviewing this place on the internet everywhere I can find. I don't take well to being treated so poorly first thing in the morning by someone who's job is to serve me, when I clearly did nothing wrong and was very polite to him. I truly hope he or his manager (even if he is the manager) sees this because he needs to clean up his act. I just wish I had thought to get his name.
