Deep Tissue Massage
Penny's clinical expertise and understanding of the human anatomy, combined with her background and experience in Special Education, uniquely equip her to work with people of very diverse ages, abilities, disabilities, medical conditions and somatic dysfunctions to best individualize treatment and help with the explanation and education of the client during treatment to best meet their needs and achieve their therapy goals. She incorporates multiple treatment modalities into her practice including Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release Massage, Positional Release Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Sports Massage, and Deep Tissue Massage techniques.
Sports Massage
Michelle's areas of massage specialization include: neuromuscular therapy massage, (e.g., patellar syndrome, ITB syndrome, piriformis syndrome, tennis elbow, muscular strain, plantar fasciitis post-rehabilitation, MVA- whiplash, and fibromylagia,), pain management (e.g., arthritis, low back & cervical pain, sciatica, muscular strain), craniosacral therapy, pregnancy massage, teen and geriatric massage, sports massage & stress management (e.g., anxiety, depression, general stress). She views each client from a holistic point of view, which includes physical, emotional, and psychological components. Michelle assesses the body using a structural integration approach and utilizes her knowledge of anatomy and physiology, palpation skills and intuition to effectively address the needs of the client. She may incorporate other modalities and protocols within the treatment session, such as cryotherapy and specific stretching exercises.

As an occupational therapist for almost 25 years, Erin has always encompassed a client-centered, whole person approach. Incorporating one’s physical, emotional, and mental well-being continues to be foundational when working with clients across the age span. Following a life-changing experience as a community health educator as a US Peace Corps volunteer in Moldova, Erin continued to work with children and youth as a pediatric OT for a non-profit educational setting for 20 years. Additionally, Erin has worked with adults in a variety of settings including outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing facilities, and home care. Working with children and youth who had experienced social-emotional challenges (including complex trauma), building therapeutic rapport, trauma-sensitive approach, yoga, and mindfulness were instrumental in creating a safe space. Wanting to transition to more holistic and hands-on healing practice, Erin pursued CranioSacral Therapy training through Upledger Institute including CranioSacral Therapy 1 (CS1), CranioSacral Therapy 2 (CS2), and SomatoEmotional Release 1 (SER1). Additionally, Erin completed Usui Reiki Energy Healing Level 1 and Level 2.

Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) is a very specialized form of manual therapy. A therapist trained in NMT is educated in the physiology of the nervous system and its effect on the muscular and skeletal systems. The Neuromuscular Therapist also is educated in kinesiology and biomechanics and how to work in a clinical or medical environment.
Myofascial Therapy
Penny is holistic in her approach to treatment with her clients. There is a fundamental interconnectedness of muscle, nerves, bones, and metabolic processes within the body that allows for movement and organ function. Fascia is the sheath that wraps all muscle, tendons, bones, and organ tissue in the body, and which provides the space for blood vessels, nerves, and the transport of metabolic material throughout the body. Dysfunction within any of these areas: muscle, nerves, bones, or metabolic processes, therefore, effects the proper function of them all. Neuromuscular therapy and myofascial release are specific and scientific approaches to somatic dysfunction and chronic pain that will help to bring about balance between the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, as to achieve proper somatic function and chronic pain relief.

If you have been injured in a car accident or had a personal injury, we are able to accept your Auto Insurance if you have PIP Insurance and if you have a doctor's prescription. We are able to accept Attorney Liens for auto accidents. We work closely with physicians, physical therapists, and chiropractors and are happy to refer you to these therapists when appropriate for your care. Many of our therapists specialize in treating auto accidents on attorney liens.
