St. Scholastica Academy, also known as SSA, is a college-preparatory school that offers a range of academic and enrichment programs for girls. A Blue Ribbon School, the academy focuses on the spiritual and intellectual growth of students. It has been in operation since 1902 and offers guidance counseling services. St. Scholastica Academy has a media center and conducts extracurricular activities. The academy operates a student council and parent, art, French and key clubs. It offers classes in biology, English, studio arts, and physical and computer education. St. Scholastica Academy, owned by the Archdiocese of New Orleans, provides opportunities for golf and volleyball.
