I found the place packed with locals on a weeknight. So, I went ahead and ordered Panang curry and Pad Thai for take out. I found the Panang curry to be on the bland side. The portion is also a bit skimpy for the $12.95 price tag. The pad thai is too sweet and lack fresh tanginess characteristic of a good pad thai.

We've picked up food at the Thai Basil Bistro twice. The first time was for dinner, the Tulip Dumpling appetizer, was very good, Thai Iced teas also very good and lots of tea. The dinners were just ok however. The Pad Thai had a strong flavor that was overpowering, without any tofu or egg and very little green onions and the Chicken Drunken Noodles had a strange burnt flavor even though nothing in the dish was burnt. So why give it 4 stars? The second time we tried it, a few weeks later (today), we had an excellent meal. The spring rolls were perfectly cooked and very flavorful. My EJP (Evil Jungle Princess) was outstanding, one of the best I've had and the Japanese eggplant was a very nice touch. My wife tried Chicken Pad Thai again and it was better than last time, however, still no tofu, egg and few green onions. Hoping they read this to tweak the recipe as the combination of ingredients really makes for a better dish. We're looking forward to our next meal. Enjoy!

We decided to try Thai Basil Bistro tonight as take out and it was really good. We got the Green curry and also Mussaman curry (had zucchini, carrots, potatoes, onions and pepper slices, along with a few peanuts). The green had a kick that my husband likes in the green curry and mine was very mild, just how I prefer. We had also gotten the dumplings with crab, cream cheese and veggies with Sweet and Sour. These were great and I could have had them all by themselves without the curries. Highly recommend this place.
