Mr. Appliance

Before I start, I must say that I have never written a review for anything before, much less a negative review. It's hard to make a living and I don't want to damage anyone's reputation or their livlihood. Then again, I don't want hard working Chicoans paying more for service than they need to. All that being said...I agreed to a diagnostic for $69 with Mr. Appliance and was told that this would be applied to my service. Little did I know that this company charged substantially more than the other appliance companies in town; between $45-$95 more! When I spoke with them about their rates before having them complete the service (scheduled for the next day), I was told that they can't work for free! Who's asking them to? Just be competitive! They absolutely refused to give us a more competitive rate. I cancelled the appointment and ordered the part from another company. Turns out that this job that they were going to charge us so much for is so easy that we can do it ourselves! If you need appliance repair in Butte County save yourself some cash and DO NOT go to Mr. Appliance.
