Just Electric

We hired Just Electric to wire our hot tub to 240. They completed the work and when the electrician tested the connection for some reason he left the empty hot tub running for over 10 minutes, burning up the pump and motor and causing vapor locks and then pipes to crack when filled. We heard a screeching noise and assumed it was from drilling into bricks to mount the safety shut off box. When we finally came around the house we found it was the spa motor that was screeching. It had been running with no water in it all that time. It had been drained so they could move it to access the electrical panel. His employees acknowledged this but stated that it could run for 10 minutes without water. This is totally not true and our once quiet pump was screeching. Once the tub was filled, and we turned it on again, it ran for a few seconds with that screeching noise and quit permanently. It was also now leaking in 3 corners, where there had never been any leaks prior.
Kevo agreed that they caused the damage and stated his insurance would cover the damages. Then when he discovered his deductible was more than we were asking $2,000.00) he lied and said his guys did not run the hot tub dry, that we had done that after they left, and denied any responsibility. So not only is he a liar, his employees are unskilled.
