The facility is top notch. Everything was super clean and the staff were very friendly and welcoming!

Our two boys attend, bright classrooms, efforts on a complete curriculum, so many great things about this daycare. Ms Illianne is fantastic for our older boy. She has learned quickly how to get him calm, learning and happy! She is fantastic! Ms Laura with our littlest has done great reassuring us he will be well taken care of each and everyday.

My son is in Miss Maddie's classroom and he absolutely loves his teacher and classmates. The other day I asked him who is best friend was and he said Miss Maddie. She is so sweet and I can tell she makes learning fun.

Ms Yared is a wonderful teacher . Peter has been with her for 3 years and he could not be happier. Peter loves his teacher and we too. So greatful and blessed to have Ms Yared .

I was in charge of dropping of my nieces off while my sister was on vacation. The lady in the front desk, I believe her name was Nely, was extremely helpful with checking the girls in. With staff like this I can only imagine what the teachers and everyone else is like. 5 stars for this awesome place !.

This school is top notch! Great teachers, and staff! Every morning, I'm greeted with a smile by Ms. Nely, she is always so happy and it's nice to have someone greet you by name.

As a very recently retired elementary teacher (Encinitas Union School District), I honor and appreciate the experiences she has with you every day, and I am grateful for the joyful association with school she has already developed. I love seeing her photos on your website each day and can't imagine a better "home away from home" for her!

My daughter has been attending CCDS for 3 years now and we could not be happier. Her teacher, Ms. Yared, is so attentive and caring. She knows the potential my child has and always challenges her in a safe, nurturing, and loving environment. Our daughter will be turning 5 in January and has a mastery of sight words, numbers, colors and can write her first and last name. Ms. Yared has been instrumental in this development. She is so sweet and kind and a great teacher. As far as the staff, every time I call or have interactions with the front of the house I love talking to Ms. Nely. She is always super helpful and efficient. In every aspect the school is A++ !

I sent my first child to CCDS 9 years ago and have been happy ever since. My youngest is beginning his third year with Ms. Melissa J, and he loves her! She is such a warm, loving teacher who takes the time to meet the individual needs of each child. Thank you, Ms Melissa J and thank you as well to the CCDS director and staff. Great team!

I love this school...my daughter has attended CCDS since 2009 and is now enrolled in the kindergarten program. It's our experience this is not a day care as our child has developed into a bright girl. Their curriculum is advanced and structured. Their philosophy with keeping a class/teacher in place for 3 years allowed us to bond with the other parents and her teacher. This philosophy also prevented her from having to be re-assessed every year and adapt to a new setting allowing her to focus and grow. Out daughter will be attending Kelly next year and we're confident she will be socially and mentally prepared.

LOVE LOVE LOVE CCD! My daughter is almost 3 and loves her teachers here - they stay the same, go with her as she sages from year to year. Great staff, educational, compassionate, caring. I'm glad we picked it. It is a bit more expensive but other centers feel like factories for children. It's different here. She gets spanish, karate, kinder gym, an extra "class" in the activity center every day. It's amazing. Plus if I'm going to spend a little extra on something - the most worthwhile thing I can imagine is my child's education. I feel comfortable - good - leaving her here in the mornings. And she's learning so much. I couldn't be happier.

We love this school. Our son was attending a different preschool that we weren't entirely happy with, and so glad we were referred to Carlsbad Country Day. They are doing everything right. They actually surveyed parents before opening their school to find out how they could create a school that combined ALL positive aspects of various preschools. And they've done it. They hire energetic, loving teachers. They have a WEBCAM - so great to see your little one happy. They have a beautiful playground with equipment that is age-specific to each class. They serve hot lunch AND snacks; included in the tuition. They test the children to find out their skill level, and send a learning book home monthly with beautiful pictures of your child and an assessment of their goals. The teachers love their students. The administration is fantastic to work with. They even have 'date night' events where they watch your child on a weekend evening! And events for the parents such as bowling. The favorite part of my day is picking up my kids and looking at their work posted in the hallways - they even have quotes from your child from the week! Lastly, they have extra activities included in the tuition! So you don't have to 'sign up' for Spanish, dance, volleyball, karate, etc.



Can't imagine a single thing they could change to improve the school. And we toured many during our search.

I would not recommend this facility. It looks great on the surface, but there are strange things going on. The director is less than pleasant, but I thought the other positive factors would outweigh my personal opinion. My son's teacher was sweet and he loved her, but they switched his teacher after only two weeks! Apparently teachers are let go on a regular basis. They talk up their dedication to curriculum and individualized plans for your child, but this is only part of the sale. My son's "educational" plan was never implemented.



The director is the daughter of the owner and now I know that she is not someone who should be around children. As others have mentioned, her lifestyle is questionable with an obvious lack of morals/values. The teachers that are there for more than a few months are "friends" of the director. Anytime I had a slight issue I was confronted with a negative attitude from the director. If she is this way to parents and her employees then one can only assume she is negative toward the children as well. This is not what I wanted to subject my child to so I removed him from this center after only a month.

This is the worst environment I have ever had my child in. The director is the owner's daughter and her lifestyle says it all. The turnover in staff is horrendous, they have had over thirty people come and go in a few short years. The teachers seem miserable, and the rumors about how they get treated my admin are too many to not be at least partly true. We left and it was the best decision we've ever made for our child's well being.

Ever since my son started at this school we have been really happy. Luke only attends three days a week and is actually sad when it is not a school day. My son's teacher is always welcoming and the curriculum is interesting and well thought out. Luke has grown a lot, both socially and academically since he started about two years ago. All the meals (breakfast, lunch, and snacks) are included in the tuition costs. The food is cooked by a professional chef, and lunch is always healthy, well balanced, and fresh. The school is family run, and gives a warm feel. The school has a bunch of other perks, like Internet viewing, dry cleaning, bilingual immersion classes, and take home meals. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for quality care in Carlsbad.

This is the best school in the area. The staff and administration are professional and well educated. The facility is new and clean and feels far more like a school than a daycare.
