This is a nice small local owned business. They serve a great selection to choose from. Homemade soups during the winter. One of their Coney Dogs with a Root Beer Float is always a great choice. They have free wifi, over 50 magazine subscriptions plus daily have the Wall Street Journal. They have a quaint outdoor patio area. Check out their facebook page for their hours as they do change as the weather gets warmer/colder. I had their special last week - Reuben Dog and it was great!

I ordered a Coney dog with onion believing the hot dog was a Vienna Frank. I quickly learned it was not and in fact you have to specify you want the Vienna Frank - BAIT AND SWITCH. Next I was told what is meant by the term "Coney dog" I have lived in New York, Chicago and Detoit. I know what one is! To advertise Vienna Frank's and give you something is false. Save your money and go elsewhere

I worked for a summer at the location on Eastern in Grand Rapids back in 1973. I love these dogs! Is the sauce used on the dogs the same recipe?

It was great to find that COOKS DRIVE IN is still around. They still have great hot dogs & so much more. Floats, ice cream, soup, coffee. Stop by this cute place. What a plus to be able to support a small local owned business.

Cook's is my favorite place to eat, hands down! They took the time to get to know my name and are always so friendly, not to mention their hot dogs! YUMMMM! I love the Colby Plus dogs and it is so nice that they care about college students and give them one free dog when you show your ID. My dad grew up eating cooks, now I am, and I will always be a loyal customer. I LOVE COOKS HOT DOGS!

A local favorite - this is the original Cooks Drive In that was located on Eastern Ave in Grand Rapids, then on Eastern in Kentwood and now is in Dutton. Stop by & say Hi to the owner Gary and get a chili dog and root beer - If you used to go to the original location - it will take you back to your/or your kids childhood. If you've never had Cooks chili dogs & root beer then you're in for a treat! Stop by & try their killer "Coney Dog" - an all beef grilled hot dog with their World Famous "Grand Rapids" style Coney sauce. It's a favorite of mine (for 50 years) Cooks has been in business for over 60 years. Great place for families
