Forte is currently undergoing a renovation, but when they re-open, definitely treat yourself to a tasty lunch. Skip the lower level unless you're in a rush and opt for the dining room, where a pleasant atmosphere matches perfectly home-made pastas and sauces, varied salads and overfilled sandwiches on fresh Italian bread. Pasta Arribiatta is delicious but very spicy, so beware, and an assortment of grilled veggies with mozzarella and basil is a real sandwich treat. Although always crowded for dinner, watch your choices: recently we were surprised that two fish entrees and soft drinks came to $60, overpriced for the venue. Desserts are locally made and quite sinful. Join the "in crowd" and make family-run Forte your choice for yummy, home-cooked meals.
