Flanigen Eye Care

This doctor is the best eye doctor ever. She gives very thorough exams each and every time. She spends time with me to explain all that is going on with my sight along with testing my glaucoma. I recently had eye surgery with her and she took the time to explain all that would go on during and after. She is so nice and professional.

I recommend her highly. I have had 2 prior eye doctors before Diane. Trust me when I say she is truly the best ever.

Dr. Flanigen truly is the best. She was recommended to me by a friend whose husband had surgery by Dr. Flanigen. Dr. Flanigen saw him immediately, after hours. I thought this was something special about a doctor, so I thought I would give her a chance as my opthamologist. She. was. awesome! She explains things very thoroughly and makes sure you understand everything before leaving the office. She is very personable and I feel very comfortable with her. She really goes above and beyond the call of duty, which I find is rare for most doctors today. I'd say call her right away, even if you don't have any eye problems, she is great for annual eye checks for prescriptions for glasses/contacts and such. You leave the office with the prescription in your hand and she always has samples of these great eye drops for my dry eyes that I can never find at the store. Dr. Flanigen is great!!

I've had the pleasure to meet Dr. Diane Flanigen through an urgent care visit some years ago. I've been a patient of hers ever since as is my entire family. She is the most knowledgeable ophthalmologist and talented surgeon in the area. Dr. Flanigen takes the time to explain everything in detail and never rushes you. Everyone I've recommended her to raves about her and her disposition. She a great doctor and a wonder women. You'll never go anywhere else.

What I know about and my experiences with Doctor Flanigen of Flanigen Eye Care.



I know that for years she was part of a well known group of medical doctors practicing in the buffalo area. On or about 2008 she went out on her own and started Flanigen Eye Care.



My first experience with her was when my wife got a flake of metal in her eye while walking in the parking lot of Wal-Mart; although it was only a speck it was very Irritating and painful for her. After seeing our primary care doctor the physician told my wife that she needed to be seen by a specialist in order to remove the metal fleck. After a plethora of phone calls our primary doctor was able to get a hold of just one doctor who was willing to stay past closing hours to examine and treat my wife.



Doctor Flanigen not only waited for my wife to arrive but she also treated her completely by herself as she was the last person in the office when our primary care physician contacted her. After spending quite some time taking care of her and giving her effected eye a very complete examination she bandaged her up and sent her on her way. When asked by my wife about the co-pay the doctor said just said bring it in when your eye feels better.



The next time my eye examination came due I went to Doctor Flanigen. I can say after two years with her that no one has ever given me a more complete in depth eye examine in my life nor spent the one on one time with me as she has. I learned things about my own eyes that I had never been told of or knew before. I found it interesting that during the examination as Doctor Flanigen inspects each of your eyes she continually talks aloud and notes things she sees as her assistant records the information into a computer. I actually look forward to going in for my annual eye examination because I feel like I am being pampered and I know that it will be a very though rough examination and it's rare to have a doctor spend so much in-depth time with you.



I also liked the idea that when she is finished, she goes over your results, explains everything to you, provides recommendations, provides options and I really can say without reservations that she certainly seems to care a great deal about her patients, you can almost sense it in my opinion.

I only wish that I could find other doctors like Doctor Flanigen. Thank you
