Dr Laurel White

I found Dr. White to be unprofessional and uncaring. I had one ultrasound performed at her beautiful facility. She promptly informed me that my 3 babies at 14 weeks were in perfect health which was "horrible" news for me. She attempted to pressure me to immediately set up an appointment in NYC to have a "selective reduction" performed...meaning aborting at least one baby whom I just watched sucking it's thumb. I have no radical religious or political views on abortion but she never discussed ANY possibility of a positive outcome, although I and the babies were in perfect health. No risk to the pregnancy was mentioned by her in having the "reduction" done. She did go into wonderful detail of how they would choose which baby to kill and how they would do it. She wanted to call from her office immediately to send me to NYC but said I could wait to do it until 19 weeks gestation. She used intimidation tactics to prove her point (you won't see your midwife again, consider the economic impact etc). She never ONCE inquired about my health history, economic status or religious beliefs. Her ONE and ONLY concern was to get me to NYC for a reduction. I was in tears and she didn't so much as offer a tissue. I had to ask for one. So warning to anyone carrying more than one child: she will not inform you about your options...she will only pressure you to have a "reduction". I was blind-sided and disgusted.
