MRI
The MRI scanner at OrthoArkansas is constructed with patient comfort, safety and dignity in mind. We have two scanners —one in our Little Rock-Midtown location and one in our North Little Rock location. They each can accommodate patients who weigh up to 550 pounds. The state-of-the-art Siemens Magnetom Aera 1.5 T is a short-bore magnet that is mainly used for images of the brain, spine and musculoskeletal system.

Computed Tomography
CT scans are noninvasive procedures and can typically be performed in 5-15 minutes. As with MRIs, these images are processed and sent to a radiologist for interpretation.

Physical Therapy
Most spinal conditions are treatable without requiring surgery — our comprehensive spine team first evaluates all nonsurgical options. Customized spine-specialized physical therapy is focused on strengthening and rehabilitating the spine to make it more resistant to injury. Medication management may be beneficial to relieve symptoms while other treatments are being pursued. Our physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) spine doctors help many patients to recover nonsurgically through advanced injection-based treatments that target the underlying spinal problem.
