MAB Community Services, formerly known as the Massachusetts Association for the Blind, offers a range of services for individual with developmental disabilities and brain injuries. Founded in 1903, it serves more than 3,000 individuals annually. The organization manages Ivy Street School, which includes residential and educational treatment solutions for men and women between the ages of 13 and 22 with neurological difficulties. MAB Community Services also provides physical, speech and occupational therapies. The organization developmental disability programs include day and residential services for over 50 adults and adults in Boston. It is one of the oldest social service organizations in the United States that works with a team of nearly 300 staff members.
