Rita's Cleaners

WARNING. THEY WILL RUIN YOUR CLOTHES AND NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.

George's & RIta's Cleaners are owned by the same person, I would not recommend using either. Rita's ruined 2 of my husband's white Zenga Couture shirts. Theresa who manages both places has very poor customer service and is the person who handles the customer dry-cleaning issues for both stores. She first tried to act like she wasn't Theresa (herself), then she tells me to return with the shirt receipts and she will help me. When I return she tries to tell me she has nothing to do with Rita's and will not give me the owners information to try to resolve the problem. I know she is lying because the guy who works the counter at Rita's is the ONLY NICE & TRUTHFUL employee I have encountered. Each time I've been to see Theresa, she tries to help other customers who walk in after me before helping me like I do not matter. How does a business based on customer service not take responsibility and lie to your customers?

Well, I don't feel as bad now for writing this bad review after seeing others with the same problems! I dropped off a shirt and suit for my husband and the shirt came back with stains on it and the pants of the suit were ripped! We're not talking ripped on the seam, but actually ripped in the middle of the fabric - unbelievable. I brought the items back and they cleaned the shirt again for free but told me that it wasn't their fault that the pants were ripped and that they wouldn't pay for the suit/reimburse me for the dry cleaning - well at that point I was livid. I asked to speak to the owner and the lady that was helping was EXTREMELY rude, pointed to the sign on the door and said if i wanted to speak to 'Rita' that I should call the number. After about 10 minutes, the rude lady finally gave me Rita's number because apparently she's never in her own shop. I then asked for the lady's name and she refused to give it to me. Meanwhile there's another customer in line watching all this go down. I will never use Rita's Cleaners again after this horrible customer service experience.



Don't bring your clothes here unless you want them ruined! I now happily give my business to the cleaners 1/2 a block away on Dresden. They have great customer service and greet me by name every time I go in.
