Huff and Sons Electric

Thomas was hired to do electrical work in a kitchen remodel job. He moved an outlet, installed electric for a garbage disposal and dishwasher and installed lighting above the sink. He was professional, knowledgeable, efficient, on time, and fairly priced. I would absolutely use him again and highly recommend his services.

We had some squirrels get in our attic and mess with a few wires. I called Thomas with Huff & Sons to fix the problem. I have never been so impressed with a company before. We called him Saturday mid morning and he was at our house by early afternoon. He was very professional and you can really tell he genuinely cares about his customers and their safety. You don't find customer service like that these days. He spent a lot of time at our house to make sure he fixed the issue and went above and beyond to do so. I will let all of my friends and family know about his company and we will always call him for our electrical needs. Highly recommended!!

I have used Huff and Sons before and was very pleased with their work, promptness and professionalism. After another electrician told me he could not separate two can lights and install a separate switch for two pinnate lights over our kitchen island, I called Huff and Sons and they did the work in less than two hours.
The last experience was the best and way over the top. The circuit that my computer and dish receiver were on blew the other night just before the Duke Basketball game. Momma was not a happy camper. Call Huff and Sons and the owner came right out late at night, found the dead short, corrected the problem and Momma was happy. The best part of the evening, was he did not even charge me for the call and repair. Blew me away. In is a great filling to know that there are some businesses that REALLY care about customer service. Thank you Thomas Huff.

The purpose of any job is to not only do the work but do it efficiently and cost effectively. Having paid for people to hang holiday lights for more than 10 years- they are the most expensive, slowest and least efficient that I have had. They charged nearly $200/hr based on their statements that they could do the job efficiently. The job was discussed in detail and I was told that they could provide the services within a reasonable time. They didn't

Only when the job was started did it become apparent that the workers appear to have never done the job before. The workmen were not comfortable on roofs which is not a good trait for people who hang holiday lights from a house and added to the job time. Despite having discussed the time expectations prior to starting, they first offered a bill that was for twice the time as discussed- when told that was unacceptable, they agreed to cut the cost somewhat but still wanted to paid more than 50% time than anyone else.

No explanation for the overrun was offered and when told the time was unreasonable, they merely replied that it was reasonable. They have still offered no explanation why their workers took twice as long to perform the job. Moreover, the workers mis-explained a base fee as relating to the first hour work until the work was done then it was added on-top of all of the charges. What was discussed as roughly $500 job became more than $1100 bill.

Since this job was hanging holiday lights, I have no idea how they are as electricians, however, despite holding themselves out for this job, they couldn't do it cost effectively and should not be used.
