Bothell Fire and E.M.S. is a full-service public safety department that that works to provide fire, emergency rescue and hazardous material response services. It has a hazardous materials unit that is comprised of various facilities, including biotechnology companies and manufacturing, distribution, and research and development laboratories. The department also informs citizens on how to mitigate, prepare, respond and recover from disaster situations. Bothell Fire and E.M.S. maintains a training division that provides educational classes in firefighting operations. It offers the copies of fire reports and issues burning permits. The department conducts various public education and life safety programs. Bothell Fire and E.M.S. supports community emergency response team and neighborhood watch programs.
