Achilles Tendonitis
Achilles tendinitis is caused by overuse of the band of tissues that connects the lower region of your calf muscle to your heel bone, also known as your Achilles tendon. Foot Orthotics
Functional foot orthotics are designed to align the foot and ankle into the most anatomically stable position. They can look similar to over the counter arch support, but are biomedical appliances that are custom made to correct your specific foot imbalance. The orthotic helps to re-align or stabilize the foot to reduce muscular work and reduces compression across the joints in normal gait and weight bearing activities. We are all unique and your skeletal structure and joint range of motion dictates corrective need and where that correction is placed in the device. Not all foot issues require prescription or custom orthotics. We work with both preformed and prescription types of devices to find the best corrective device for your activities keeping economy in mind.
