I have been on the same meds for several years, nothing has really changed and my retired pysch previously used to give me prescriptions for a couple of months at a time (refills) without having to come see him all the time. Unfortunately with this doctor, he would like me to come in once a month to six weeks in order to get a prescription. The interesting part is he spends a total of 5 minutes with me. My interpretation of this situation is that his practice is about coming in for 'routine visits'. Perhaps someone may see this as good for routine visits but I see it as very costly when it's not necessary.
