Established in 1958, Berea Municipal Court handles cases from the municipalities of Berea, Brook Park, Middleburg Heights, Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Township, Strongsville and Metro Parks counties in Ohio. It provides justice for criminal and civil cases. The court s clerk is responsible for filing of all the traffic, criminal, civil and small claims cases. Additionally, he is responsible for scheduling hearings and trials. Berea Municipal Court operates a range of departments, such as civil, small claims, criminal and traffic departments. Its civil department is responsible for handling forcible entry and detained cases and applications for trusteeship and rent escrow deposits. In addition, the Berea Municipal Court handles new civil cases, including subsequent pleadings, motions and postjudgment executions, such as wage garnishments and bank attachments.
