        Founded by Dr. A.C. Brown in 1965, Beltsville Veterinary Hospital has been your neighborhood veterinarian for over 50 years. We grew up with this community, and we care for its pets like they are our own. Our goal is to provide every animal with a lifetime of optimal health. This means we emphasize preventive medicine, including regular checkups, lab screenings, and vaccinations. We also have complete diagnostic and surgical suites to detect and treat any unexpected conditions. Every member of our professional family is committed to exceptional care. Most of our veterinarians, technicians, kennel workers, and administrative staff have been with us for many years. They are up-to-date on the latest veterinary care practices and procedures. Everyone is familiar with advanced and modern diagnostic equipment. We love our community and pride ourselves on providing great, quality pet care. We often host veterinary school residents at our practice because we understand the importance of the mentorship to upcoming care providers. Each May you can also find us at Beltsville Day celebrating with our community and sharing health resources with area pet owners.         I have been using this veterinary practice for more than 35 years to care for my dogs. During the many years, my dogs have been under the care of most of the vets at one time or another, and every one of them has been both a skilled practitioner and a caring person to both my dogs and myself. In the last few years, the vets there are better than ever, if possible.

        I've been taking my cats to this vet for years and she is very professional very thorough, practical and kind to me and my pets. I recommend this vet hospital to anyone. While using this hospital, I've lived in Greenbelt, Elkridge, Bowie and now North Beach in Southern Maryland and I still go to this vet. It is always worth the trip.

        Lovely vet and staff, came highly recommended by many of my friends who have used this practice for years. I'm sad to see the other review, which I'm sure was an outlier.

        My husband took our very old but very good lab mix to this vet to get her toe nails clipped and was received by a very rude front desk staff. My neighbor also just took her very well-behaved dog to the vet and was also treated very rudely by the front desk staff. She had a vet that lectured her and was even acting like he was afraid of her dog. Both instances now that we've tried going to this vet, we've been met with rudeness and extremely unprofessional behavior. My mother was raised in the house we are living in now, with my grandmother living their since it was built and we've never taken any animals to this vet for all those years. That doesn't speak well to this vet. I would stay clear of this vet as my neighbor and I both live on the same street as this vet, and we've been treated very bad. I would think they'd want to treat their neighbors with respect and kindness, but this is certainly not the case. BAD!BAD! BAD!
