Whidbey Island Bank

I have banked with them for years and I love all the people that I have worked with over the years. They know me when I come in and great me warmly. I have also delt with them in the business world and they were wonderful to work with.

Banking local, can give you an advantage these days. I learned that first hand with Whidbey Island Bank, Very understanding when I had to rewrite my auto loan, I got a lower payment and a better rate. No hassle, and also I noticed they are always staffed well enough so you dont have to wait. Not like some other banks, who hardly have enough trained tellers to give you the answers you need, promptly. I would recommend trying WI Bank.

We had a nightmare experience- thanks to very poor customer care at this bank. We went to the bank and spoke to the manager to tell her that we were going to be traveling to Mexico. She said she would ensure that the system would allow us to us our debit card while traveling abroad. Imagine our shock, when we went to use our debit card in Mexico and IT WOULDN"T WORK. Tried again in a different place-no money. Because we had trustingly gone into our local bank and been assured by a bank executive, we didn't bring much cash and so we were stuck. In a FOREIGN country with no money.For four days.We were extremely stressed and this was the vacation which we had saved for-and now we were placed in harm's way. When we returned to Bellingham, we spoke to the bank where three managers told us that there was a glitch in the system and apologized. "Sorry-too bad." Ruined our vacation but not their concern. No thanks, Whidbey Island Bank.

They are one of the worst bank we have ever been with. Don't tell you the truth on things.
