        New Horizon School is operated by the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit and was established in 1974. The school provides programs in family and consumer science, physical education, music, computers and technology education. It offers special education to students with disabilities that include programs in intellectual, social, emotional, physical and vocational development. New Horizon School organizes various special events, such as annual school prom, student fashion show, special Olympics training, student musical performances and annual graduation ceremony. Its facilities include a cafeteria, industrial arts room, health suite, library, instruction and music rooms, swimming pool and teaching planning centers. The school s services include speech and language, occupational and physical therapies, audiological screening, psychiatric consultation and psychological evaluation.
