        I recently moved to Phoenix from Utah where Cafe Rio is one of the most popular restaurants. My husband and I have eaten hundreds of salads, our favorite. I was so excited to see Cafe Rio go up in Avondale but sadly we were disappointed. Yesterday when we first came into the restaurant no one greeted us. It was during dinner time but we were the only ones in line. The food prep area wasn't stocked and it was very messy. There are many things that make Cafe Rio a great place to eat, including fresh food, a clean prep area, and friendly staff that appear to enjoy their job. Yesterday Avondale didn't have that. On top of that the pork didn't have the traditional flavor of sweetness and the rice was over cooked. I knew this may seem picky but I'm very use to consistently at Cafe Rio restaurants and this one didn't have that. I love Cafe Rio and want it to stay around and grow through the valley so I'm begging you guys, please do better.
