Supreme Lending

This place was terrible. I am a 1st time home buyer and I wanted to leave this review as it was originally brought to my attention that this company had great reviews and were the best rates in Austin.

I worked with Chris Marmolejo, and the initial contact call went great where he informed me that I was able to be approved for my 1st home purchase. However it was all downhill after that, during the call Chris advised he was going to send me some information that explains the process and what to expect. The email never came through, I called him 4 days later and left a voice mail advising I never received the email. Chris never called back or apologized (no big deal) but magically the email came though. After that Chris and his assistant Heather requested all documents to move forward with the mortgage loan I sent the required documents and did not hear back from neither Chris nor Heather until almost 3 weeks later. (They initially told me I would hear something back from them within 48 hours.) When they finally did give me a response it was via my email asking for an update and was told by Heather that all looked good and that was the reason for the silence. Really, that was horrible customer service for me being a 1st time home buyer, I did not know silence meant I was all in the clear to start searching for a home. Aside from that during the wait for an update on approval I contacted Chris and asked for info regarding going with a USDA loan instead of an FHA loan. Chris said he would send me some information on that......another 3 weeks later I still have yet to hear any information about the USDA loan.

I finally ended up going with a different mortgage lender and come to find out silence is not what to expect when you are waiting for approval information on your mortgage loan. Don't waste your time if you are a 1st time home buyer or if communication is important to you.
