Mercy provides a number of clinical services for our underserved neighbors such as primary care, dental, gynecology, gastroenterology, physical therapy, neurology, vision care, orthopedics, rheumatology, nephrology, pulmonology, urology, and more. Medical care at Mercy is provided by staff and volunteer doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses.

He is a practicing physician at Athens Eye Doctors & Surgeons. Dr. Patterson works with Medical Campus Outreach and is involved at He and his wife Lauren, who both volunteer for Mercy Health Center, live in Athens with their three children and attend Redeemer Presbyterian Church.

I’m originally from Athens, where I attended Clarke Central. From there, I attended Valdosta State University. Then, I went to Mercer to pursue a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I began working at Mercy in December of 2022. Bradford is married, and he and his wife attend Calvary Bible Church. Bradford enjoys helping people, gardening, and playing video games. He chose to work at Mercy because of its mission and great reputation in Athens. It fits with his desire to reach the most vulnerable.

Presently, medical appointments are scheduled every weekday during regular operating hours, plus Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Social services, behavioral health counseling, and pharmacy services are available Monday-Friday, and dental clinics are held on Wednesdays and Fridays.
