I will only use Mr. Jerry Hackney for all my future inspections! I am a Realtor and have used several different inspectors over the last 11 years. Mr. Hackney inspected a house for me Aug. 2012. He was prompt, reliable and very thorough. He is the first inspector to provide me a thermal report which is a fantastic tool to see the energy losses in the house. After he completed his inspection he took great care and time to walk me through all the problems and make sure I understood the findings. I could not have had a better service provided.

Highly recommended! An inspection of the insulation was conducted on my home during construction. Multiple issues were found and corrected due to this inspection. The in-depth report was sent to the builder and they corrected the problems I never would have know about without this inspection. Identifying the insulation problem will save me much more than the cost of the inspection with a few months! Excellent work!! JM

Alert Residential was super-responsive and worked around my tight schedule. They filled out a comprehensive report and took photos of everything in the house that wasn't in perfect condition. The photos really helped me understand what the comments meant, which was helpful since I wasn't present at the inspection and didn't have a chance to visit the house between the inspection period and the closing. The inspection price was reasonable, and the reports let me know exactly what I was buying. I'm going to use Alert for all my future buys.

We hired Jerry with Alert Residential Inspections to do our home inspection because he came highly recommended by our realtor. I'm so glad we did! We are in the process of a short, 2 week escrow and he was able to get us in on the day that we requested. I really appreciated his prompt return to my emails. Inspector/Owner worked with me on my appointment and had patience as I had delay with the utility services being activated. Inspection report is very detailed and east to read, it also provided photos and comments of each finding. Jerry was a pleasure at our home inspection. I would also definitely recommend the infrared camera to go along with his normal inspection. He found a few breakers that were operating at a hotter than normal temperature. The infrared was a must for us seeing as how my parent's home almost caught fire due to wires that were running too hot in the attic under all the insulation.
