Mr. Duchetta started his training at the age of 15 and is now 43. Having competed in the tournament circuits in the late 80's and throughout the 90's, Mr. Duchetta was able to win numerous titles including the WKO world heavyweight championship in 1995. The name Ring of Fire Martial Arts Academy was conceived on a plane trip back from Osaka Japan in 1999, where Mr. Duchetta had competed in front of 10,000 spectators at the Osaka-Jo arena. Mr. Duchetta thought of the name because he was taking certain arts from the Pacific Rim also known as "The Ring of Fire". He incorporates Korean Hapkido, Japanese Shotokan, Filipino Kali, Muay Thai from Thailand, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Ring of Fire has seen changes over the years and with each change the school has become bigger and better with each step. We were and still are at the forefront of Mixed Martial Arts in the SGV!Meet the Business Owner: Vincent-Marco D.Mr. Duchetta started his martial arts career at the age of 15, studying Shotokan Karate under the tutelage of famed Karate Master Edwin Hamile at the West Coast Shotokan Karate Association Headquarters in Temple City California. Having trained there for a number of years and competing and excelling in numerous full contact and point karate tournaments, Mr. Duchetta decided to expand his repertoire and sought out other forms of martial arts. In doing so, at the age of 22 he discovered the art of Hapkido. Mr. Duchetta is renowned for his abilities to convey and express the true meaning of each and every technique, and it's applications, whether it is to a young school age student or an adult. Over the years Mr. Duchetta has learned and incorporated other fighting styles such as Boxing, Kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Grappling.
