Luv'm Kennels

Everytime i pick my dogs up their run is clean and they are alive and well. They always have fresh water and food and at anytime i feel uneasy i give Joe and Karen a call to see how there doing and im always reassured. The owners are kind people who are dog lovers themselves. My family has been using luv m kennels for many years and we have never had a bad experience.

Like always with them I reserved a week for my dog and on the day I was to leave town I called to let them know I was coming and was told that they couldn't take him because "I'm having a bad day". Then I said I am speechless because I am leaving out of town and the owner said "sorry you are speechless but everyone has a bad day". You cannot rely on them to be there as promised. It was very unprofessional and I would not recommend that you use them. There are other very good kennels in the area who would not do that to you. When I brought him to a new place - on 10 minutes notice - they were stunned when I told them what happened. It simply isn't worth the anxiety that this caused.

I live 35 miles away but will always make the trip when I need to leave my pet somewhere that I feel good about. The staff at Luv-m kennels is very personal and friendly and I can relax on my vacation knowing that my pet is being given good care. At other kennels I get my pet back dirty and smelly, but not at Luv-m

kennels. The place is very clean and they even wash the bedding, take my dog for walks, follow any instruction for feeding and medications. The kennels have air conditioning and heating inside, and a doggie door for my pet to go outside. The tall brick wall on the outside gives my dog security and prevents him from feeling harassed by the other dogs, Luv-m has reasonable rates and even a discount coupon for first time customers online. They are very competent and I really appreciate their business.

It is a very clean, smelly good place. The kennels are fully gated so there is no way for escape, they also have a inside and outside for each dog. The workers and owners' are friendly and make sure all the dogs are taken care of. They make sure their diet is administered promptly and fresh water is always available. I was/am very impressed with the place compared to all the other kennels I have experienced. They even have air conditioning and heat for them. I will never take my dog anywhere else.:)

If I could leave a zero star rating I would! I first made reservations in mid-November for December 26-29, 2012. On November 26th, one of the owners, Joe, calls and asks if I forgot to bring my dog in. I had to explain to him that the reservation was for December. This is not something I should have to explain to a competent business owner and should have been my first clue that this was not a place to take my dog. Well, on Dec 26th, we dropped our dog off at Luv Em Kennels which was anything but the home-like environment they portray on their website, unless cinder block walls and concrete floored cages says home to you. I was uncomfortable leaving our retriever there but we didn't have a back up plan. The worker on duty seemed pleasant enough so we hoped for the best. Not even one hour into our out of state trip, I received a call from Joe, again, telling me I didn't have reservations and that I needed to come pick my dog up. When I told him I had made the reservation over a month ago, he told me he sure hoped so and hung up on me. Less than 5 minutes later he called back and said he found my reservation. If it only took him a few minutes to find the reservation, why didn't he do his due diligence in finding my reservation in the first place. Pick- up was equally awful! I found my 13 year old retriever shivering in his cage, and he smelled like urine. When I went to pay, they didn't even have enough cash to make change for me, even though they only accept cash or check, and wanted to write me a personal check for the amount they owed me. After all that, I would have to be a fool to take a check from these people. I have never seen such unprofessionalism and rude behavior from a business owner! They are incompetent and DO NOT care about the animals in their care! BEWARE! We will never ever be back!

I am sure you know that your dogs always know you are going somewhere before you even start packing. I don't feel guilty about leaving them because of the care they get at LUVM's.

Our kids just love going there, you know they are loved just by the way they interact with Joe, Karen or Christine. We have left our kids in the care of LUVM Kennels for almost 20 years. You just don't find that kind of caring anymore. When we finally choose a new member of our family, I can always count on leaving them where they are safe and loved and that is LUVM KENNELS.
