Danny's Restaurant

My first (and last) time at any Danny's and I feel like I ate at a different restaurant than many of these other reviewers seem to be talking about. Website (I later discovered) says they offer breakfast all day. We'd hoped to get breakfast but there were no breakfast items on the menu we were given and no separate breakfast menu offered, so we assumed they didn't serve after 11:00. Service was SLOW (even though the place was not especially crowded). 25 minutes to get a hamburger and an order of tacos. My "Spanish Hamburger" was nothing special or, frankly, even all that good. Refried beans and jalapenos made it "Spanish" but there was not even enough of a smear of refried beans on to cover half the bun. Portion of french fries was very skimpy. My friend's taco that was supposed to have shredded cheese on top instead had a mis-shappen CHUNK of cheese wedged in there that evidently didn't make it through the grater. No way the kitchen staff could have not known what they were doing when they stuck that on there and it just felt like a rude act on the part of some kitchen employee. I was not impressed by any part of the place and would never go back.

In town about a month - ordered breakfast. Great service, great food, clean.

I was in town one day didn't know what to eat,so i went to dennys.loved it.the burgers were the best,and they have the best dessert.in my opinon dennys is one of the best resurants in Alice.

IN TOWN FOR MY AUNT'S 100 YR BIRTHDAY WE STOPPED AT DANNYS FOR LUNCH (6 ADULTS) THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME TO EAT THERE.



SERVICE WAS GREAT, THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND MADE THIS A TOP EATING EXPERIENCE.



WITH EACH PERSON ORDERING DIFFERENT MEALS, HERE A QUICK SYNOPSIS:



I HAD THE T-BONE STEAK PREPARED AMERICAN SYTLE. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, AS GOOD AS ANY OUTBACK, LONE STAR, TEXAS ROADHOUSE STEAK AND GET THIS. COST = $14.99



OTHER MEALS WERE THE FISH SANDWICH PLATTER, 3 GOOD SIZE FILETS ON IT!!! GREAT TASTE GREAT VALUE.



CHICKEN FRIED STEAK, PREPARED EXCELLENTLY AND TRUE TEXAS STYLE.



AFTER THE END OF THE MEAL THEY BROUGHT MY AUNT A GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE SLICE AND SANG HER HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAKING HER FEEL GREAT.



ANY TIME IN THE FUTURE WE NEAR ALICE WE WILL BE EATING AT DANNYS AND TELLING EVERYONE WE KNOW THAT THIS IS THE PLACE TO EAT.
