This is my business and feel I need to clear this awful review. I had told this lady 2 to 3 hrs. This dog I have never done before a cocker was hard to do, pulling, constant moving around. I was afraid I might accidentally hurt the dog. So I took my time trying to calm the dog telling him it was ok. After 2 hrs, owner called me and asked "is my dog done", I told her no not yet. She yelled in the phone at me "I don't want to hear any excuses from you he should have been done". I stayed calm and told her about his behavior but she was not having it. She continued to yell at me. I hung up. I don't deserve or have to put up with negative mean people, when I was calm and trying to explain the problem. An hour later I call her to come get her dog. He was done, she didn't show for another 45 mins. When she came in she asked who hung up on her and I said I did because you were rude. She told me I was rude. Trying to stay calm I told her please don't come back. Those who personally know me know I am not a mean person. I love dogs, animals, and people, but I will not and do not and won't tolerate mean rude people. I strive for a stress free enviroment. Your dogs or cats and you should have a good experience here at my shop.

Waggin Tails Doggie Styles
Coming from Huntington Beach, I had to find a great groomer for my sidekick ,Mikey. He is laid back and elderly, mi-optic and hearing isn't great...but we are a team! Five minutes with other groomers (if they were open and had regular hours) and I was getting to think I'd be driving to OC monthly for a pet friendly, competent, no nick groomer! Then I stopped and talked Michelle and called my OC groomer who, although they never met, she said Waggin Tails would be her choice for her dogs! The rest is history..Mikey likes going there, no problems, comes home clean, expressed and smiling for a VERY reasonable price! Also does my cat with a lion cut and no issues there either!

I absolutely love Lisa and her staff! My 12 year old toy poodle is always excited to go and always looks great, and he smells amazing until his next bath. The prices are very reasonable and I love that its by appointment. My little old man only spends a couple hours there vs half of the day at others. I have taken him to 3 other groomers up here and either he seemed stressed, I felt the groomer was aggressive, or services fell subpar. Lisa personally grooms my dog and she is so sweet and calm, and not to mention, knowledgeable. I completely trust Lisa - highly recommend!

Waggin Tails Doggie Styles
I was pleasantly surprised today when I picked our English Springer Spaniel up from Waggin' Tails Doggie Groomers! Although she is just 2½, this is the best haircut she has ever had. Everything was perfect - feet, nails, ear length, body length and the growing out of her skirt. Her hair grows so fast and gets curly so we try to keep her short. I will be taking her back to Waggin' Tails from now on. And she smelled so good, too. Great people at Waggin' Tails and they really listened to how we wanted her cut. Thank you so much!!

Groomingdales Paw Spa
I had an awesome experience here. My Jeannie who is a Westie, was groomed to perfection. Her ears were nicely cleaned and she was snow white. They allow the pets to roam free after grooming which I really like, as my dog does not like to be in a "cage". I also liked how nice the staff was to our family and our pet. I would recommend them if you are looking for a small, family run business.

Sandy Paws Pet Grooming
My first visit to Sandy Paws was very pleasant, my dog was a little excited at first as she was removed from my arms and placed on a work table but after a couple minutes I could tell by her face she was telling me hey this is not so bad these people know what their doing.... We will return plus recommend Sandy Paws to my friends.

Sandy Paws Pet Grooming
the comment below is a flat out lie.. . we do NOT put dogs on their back,, let alone FORCED onto their backs.. and if your dog had to be muzzle, that is because it bites and the lack of training and socialization is YOUR FAULT..if the dog is that difficult i will just refuse to groom it, and send you to the vet for help..

Sandy Paws Pet Grooming
I asked that the dogs not be clipped too short and on one of the two he was clipped right down to the skin. The eyebrows on both were left too long. She did a great job on the nails and cleaning the ears plus they smelled nice.

Sandy Paws Pet Grooming
We take our small dogs Frodo and Scamp to get their nails clipped. Sandy is careful and shows a great deal of empathy toward our less than enthusiastic pair. Highly recomended
Tips & Advices
Some pet groomers have viewing areas where owners can sit and watch their pets being treated. Most prevent owners from being in the same room as the pet, however, as the owner's presence might cause the pet to become too excited.
Pets that cannot interact with strangers do not make good professional grooming candidates. Sometimes medication can help, but some groomers don't take animals that have been sedated. If a pet becomes too unruly, a groomer may end the session entirely.
It's best to fully vaccinate pets before bringing them to their first grooming appointment. Dogs should receive the DA2PPC vaccine, which stands for canine distemper, canine andenovirus type 2, canine parvovirus, and parainfluenza. It's also a good idea to vaccinate dogs against Bordedatella (aka “kennel cough”). In fact, New York City requires dogs receive both DAPP and Bordetella shots. Cats, meanwhile, should get the FVRCP vaccine: feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus infection, and panleukopenia. In addition, all pets should be up to date on their rabies shots. Owners should wait at least 24 hours after getting their pet vaccinated before bringing it to the groomers.
Technically, there is no such thing as a pet that is too old for a professional groomer. In fact, older pets with joint or mobility issues often can't groom themselves and need someone else to clean them. However, pets that are blind, deaf, or have serious medical issues might not do well at a groomer, especially if the person is inexperienced. Owners should feel free to ask potential groomers about their understanding of elderly pet issues. Often, older pets will exhibit puppy-like behavior and squirm or yelp during grooming. Alternatively, they might not be able to stand for long periods of time. As such, grooming an older pet usually takes more time than grooming a young one.
Puppies and kittens should be at least 10 weeks old before their first professional grooming session. They should be used to being gently handled by strangers and comfortable being separated from their owners for a few hours at a time.
