Yakima Dental Center and Orthodontics
By far the worst dentist I have ever went to for example I left the office with holes in my teeth he didn't fill my cavities and I even said something and the Dentist said that he was done so I had to go to another dentist to get them filled and turns out all the other work he did needs to be redone because my teeth we not done properly I would only recommend people I hate to go see this dentist

Every time I talk to the receptionist lady on the phone she's not the friendliest, but I just assume she has bad days. Today, I called to cancel an appt I wouldnt be able to make (drive 1.5 hours to get there unfortunately). When I told the lady I wouldn't be able to make it she sighed and said Okay and as I was saying thank you and trying to reschedule she had already hung up on me. Thinking maybe she was just busy, I called back. I politely asked if I could reschedule, and she said "no, you've been put on a waiting list, We'll call you." *silence* ... So, I asked... Does that mean about a week or a month and tried to see if she was able to give me a time frame to expect a call. She reminded me it was my fault I had to wait so long, because I had cancelled, and said 3 months. I was obviously surprised it's so far out but I still said okay thank you, to which she sternly says Bye And hangs up immediately. I'm not fond of going to a heath service office that makes you feel like crap, I already felt bad cancelling, no reason for her rude attitude towards a patient.

I just called to make a first appt. and when the person found I was with Apple health she copped a really negative attitude, and was like, do you need extractions or what? I found her attitude completely negative and rude, due to the tone of "you loser." kind of an attitude.I am a student at YVCC, and I have worked all of my life, and I assumed by her attitude that I would be treated very poorly here. I absolutely would never recommend this dentist office to anyone if you are looking for compassion, good care, and a kind welcome unless you drive a mercedes.

Apple Valley Dental & Braces
Took my child there and having worked in a dental office for many years found that they were trying to charge me things I didn't even have done or pertained to the appointment that day. Spoke with the office manage who is a small blond lady and she was amazingly rude saying I had no idea what I was talking about. Looked up other reviews on the place and found I'm not the only one who feels she was very rude and unprofessional. Went to Yakima Pediatric Dentistry for better service and more time with the dentist.

Apple Valley Dental & Braces
Apple Valley is where I take my two sons for braces. I can't say enough great things about the staff and our doctor. My boys are smiling more than ever and enjoy coming to each visit! I think I'm getting braces next!

Apple Valley Dental & Braces
Apple Valley gave a presentation at my child's school. I liked that they took the time to teach the children about cleaning their teeth and how to do it. My daughter has been asking about going to the "ocean place" for quite awhile. I took her to Apple Valley and had a very nice appointment. My daughter loved playing on the toys. The dentist we seen was so nice and I felt very respected.

Apple Valley Dental & Braces
I was soooooo amazed at that clinic. It made my kids excited to be there, and for once they weren't afaraid to go! Everyine was so nice and you can really tell they care alot about what they do. They even did some ceilants for free because the girl said they needed to do them. My kids love it and are all about it. I think the doctors should do a harlem shuffle dance and put it on youtube. Those guys are hip!

I heard about this place at my church. I can't believe how much things have changed since I was a kid! My kids love to go to the dentist now. This clinic is great, and the doctor was really friendly. I would recommend Apple valley to anyone.
Tips & Advices
While going to the orthodontist can be difficult, sometimes it's necessary. If you are concerned about tooth alignment, feel your jaw shift, or are experiencing problems like difficulty chewing or grinding your teeth, it's time to see an orthodontist.
There are generally three types of braces patients can be fitted for at the orthodontist:
  • The more traditional option, bands, wrap around most of a patient's tooth.
  • Brackets are the most popular, applied directly to the tooth in metal or plastic form.
  • Lingual braces are brackets attached to the back of teeth.
People of all ages can wear braces to straighten their teeth, but it is most common to be fitted for these adjustments between the ages of 10 and 14. This is the time when teeth are better able to be straightened because the head and mouth are still developing.
The American Board of Orthodontics recommends finding a dental specialist that is board-certified, offers free or reduced-price consultations, and displays qualities such as trustworthiness, ability to communicate effectively, and attentiveness.
Orthodontists must complete a four-year undergraduate program to gain admission to dental school. After earning a Doctor of Dental Science degree at an accredited four-year dental program, students must then either complete a post-degree training program or one to two years residency in orthodontics. Then they need to earn a state license in order to practice. Certain states also require board certification.
