Premier Shield Insurance Agency
Overall I had a great experience! I was getting a rate increase from my old insurance company without an accident. Premier Shield Insurance was able to find me a better rate with a better company.

Braley & Wellington Ins Agcy Inc
DO NOT CHOOSE Braley Wellington Group!!! I was asked to send my Facebook review again through your website - "Braley & Wellington made changes to my auto insurance policy without letting me know the associated costs. They switched me to a insurance that cost me over $600 a month!!! And the rep is not even responding to my emails???

Goodworks Insurance
I have been a customer with GoodWorks Worcester for 6 years. I recently moved and notified GoodWorks of my change of address in writing. Over the next few weeks I called and left multiple voicemails, each asking for a call back. I received a voicemail today stating that my policy has been cancelled since June 21st. Today is July 14th. When I was finally able to speak with someone on the phone, I was told that my address was never updated and they had been sending termination notices to my old address. GoodWorks made no attempt to contact me by phone or by email. If you are considering GoodWorks, I strongly encourage you to take your business elsewhere. No one from GoodWorks returned my phone calls or voicemails for over a month of me attempting to speak with someone. GoodWorks is a negligent company and I am now paying the price for their incompetent agents and poor customer service.

Affordable Insurance Agency
Some CSR's are friendly and experienced. Wait times are not long and they take care of paperwork and plates. Conveniently across from Worcester DMV. You pay 20% up front in most cases with a new auto policy. They will take any type of drivers. Their premiums are expensive. For high risk drivers ( speeding tickets, maybe an accident or 2) you may be referred to them as MA is really strict & insurance companies don't budge. I had a bad experience- I transferred plates to a new vehicle on the same day I had to renew my policy. The CSR in person told my auto dealer and I that I owed nothing except sales tax and registration fees/$710.00. Then found out a few days later on the phone they waived my deductibles, increasing my premium $500 a yr and I owed $582.00 up front. I will be filing complaint tommorrow with a supervisor. I don't recommend them.

Atchue Insurance Agency
I was thoroughly displeased trying to sign up for business insurance here, the agent didn't answer any of my questions directly, was clearly exhausted (yawning and stretching across the table from me), and when I asked how simple it was to cancel at the end of the application process, realizing I was making a mistake there, she responded telling me that she doubted I'd find a lower premium. If you want the cheapest option, maybe go here, but I'd prefer decent customer support and actual coverage over a low premium.

Mahoney & Obara Insurance Agcy
Mahoney and Obara deserves No stars!!! Mike is a dishonest man chasing a dime. He spits out lies to make a problem go away rather than being honest and dealing with the situation at hand. I highly recommend finding a new agent and if you do leave be sure to check your paperwork because he forgets to cancel your policy and you will continue to get charged. He is impossible to contact once you want out. Very dishonest.

Lincoln Street Insurance
This insurance agency is very in professional. They make false promises then over charge you. They also set up auto matted withdrawal but then don't take out your money when they say they will so your bank account gets screwed up. I had them for one month and on top of these issues I was screamed at by their employee because they screwed up my bill and when complained about it she hung up on me several times. Then when asked to cancel my policy she told me no!!! This place is a joke! One more thing when I walked in the gentlemen and use the word losely with him chose to eat his lunch and talk to me at the same time. Please hede my warning don't use this company.

Fisher Insurance
These guys are awesome! They helped me understand exactly what coverage I needed on my auto policy and they lowered my premium by almost $100 a month and I'm getting the same coverage & deductible as before!!!
Tips & Advices
By law, you need to be insured up to the minimum amount required in your state before getting behind the wheel of any car. Beyond that, your insurance needs will vary depending on your financial situation and the amount of risk you are willing to take on.
  • Full or comprehensive car insurance is the most expensive, but often the best deal for drivers who own an expensive car, those who commute frequently or anyone who lives in an area with extreme weather or high crime rates.
  • Drivers of less expensive or older cars usually save more by opting for the minimum required policy, along with some extra coverage if they can afford it. Since the cost of repairs might exceed the total value of an older vehicle, some owners forgo collision protection in favor of greater liability coverage or personal injury coverage.
If someone other than you causes an accident while driving your car, most insurance policies will still pay for damage, according to the rules that apply. However, it’s a good idea to check with the insurance provider to be sure this is the case. Regardless, either the at-fault driver or the actual policyholder will be responsible for paying for anything not covered by insurance. People who don’t own a car but frequently borrow or rent one might consider purchasing a non-owner policy to make up the difference.
Car insurance premiums might be tax deductible in certain situations, but only with the documentation to prove it. Insurance costs may be deducted as part of overall business expenses if you use that car for work-related travel. However, this does not generally apply to taxpayers who use the standard deduction when filing their income tax returns. If your car is used for business purposes often, save all insurance-related documentation, as well as receipts, invoices and other forms of proof that your vehicle expenses were for business purposes.
Car insurers set premium prices depending on every driver’s individual risk. A huge number of details are factored into every determination of insurance risk, so the cost of any two policies can vary widely depending on the driver’s personal attributes, accident history, location, vehicle type and much more. The type of coverage you choose also impacts what you pay - premiums for minimal liability coverage will almost always be lower than those of a universal coverage policy.
The cost of car insurance is highly variable, but according to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, U.S. motorists pay around $900 per year on auto insurance.
