Thanks again to the guys carrying all of those heavy logs. They had to carry out a large oak tree up a hill and up some steps. The tree was making to pool cold so it had to be cut down.

American Tree Service
They do not take credit cards, the "business" is non existent , NO insurance due to TOO MANY claims, climbed on the roof by putting two chairs on top of each other (couldn't make this up if I tried), took down some electical, cable wires...NOT RECOMMENDED! Should have done our research first, instead of walking over to the neighbor and ASSuming they had (since they usually do....) Their trees were NOT close to their house or wires!

American Tree Service
I had them remove 6 trees in my yard while on vacation. They took down part of my fence to drop the trees. They dropped a tree on the center fence post breaking it off at the ground and just put the fence back up leaning. I even had a surveillance camera on the exterior validating their error. It has been 4 weeks, multiple calls and they are reluctant to repair and now even return calls. Steve Edwards is his name. Also don't make the mistake of paying them cash as I did!

Run away from this fast talking William Lombardo. I was told by professional tree cutters that he has done business under many names. This is because he is a crook -- took $1,600 dollars down payment to do a job he called 'beautification" but could not get him to itemize the work or send proof of insurance. He later called the deposit a cancellation fee -- with no previous notice or clarification in writing. Because I was out the money I agreed to have him do some lesser work. He sent out two non experienced minimum wage boys (one just worked for him now and again when he needed money for college) to do some transplanting. That was a year ago and most of the transplants are now dead. Oh, they also cut our cable cord while at it.

Tips & Advices
The cost of landscape design varies depending on the scope of the project. Expect to pay anywhere from $2,000 to upward of $11,000 for the initial design. The cost of purchasing and installing the necessary elements can cost from $11-$17 per square foot.
Many landscape designers provide maintenance services that can help keep landscape looking neat and attractive. These maintenance services might include hand pruning of ornamental shrubs, insect and disease control, weed management, tree trimming, mowing, fertilization, and leaf removal.
Landscape design is the process of designing the look of the outdoor space that is being enhanced. Landscape installation is the process of installing all the elements needed to make the design a reality.
When choosing a landscape designer, it's essential to select one whose design style matches your tastes, and evaluating a landscape designer's portfolio of previously completed projects will offer insight in this area. An n experienced landscape designer will have the background necessary to navigate unexpected challenges that may crop up during the project. Select a landscape designer who is licensed, bonded and insured. If you prefer organic gardening, choose a landscape designer whose practices are in line with this philosophy.
The size of the project plays a role, and larger landscape design projects will take longer to complete. Once the initial site visit has been made, it can take up to four weeks for the landscaping professional to complete the design. After the design has been prepared, it can take up to three weeks for the installation to be completed. Any alterations made along the way will lengthen the process.
